The Filter Press MITSU - ensure that the selection of the plate and the filter cloth are designed to suit the operating parameters, factors such as inlet sludge characteristics, sludge filter characteristics, moisture standards in the filter cake, and economy...
OPERATIONAL PRINCIPLE

The plates are fixed enough pressure so that when pumping sludge with high pressure into the machine, the sludge will not leak. Sludge is pumped into the central sludge inlet, and fulfills each sludge chamber in turn. Smaller water molecules will be absorbed through the filter cloth and go out, while larger sludge molecules will be retained and form a filter cake, the sludge pumping process begins to pressurize from 1-3Bar
The process of forming filter cake is shown through the following steps:
- Step 1: In the first stage of the filtration process, larger sludge particles are deposited and filled the contact surface of the filter cloth, preventing the fine particles from passing through the filter cloth.

- Step 2: With the deposition of more sludge particles, an outer coating is formed, further reducing the effective porosity of the filter cloth to filter the fine particles.

- Step 3: When further filtering, the smaller particles get stuck in the lattice formed by the larger particles from step 2.

- Step 4: Solid particles continue to deposit on the filter until the chamber between the plates is filled. Filtration current tends to decrease to almost zero, in the final stage of filter cake generation.
